14. Yeah but media mostly does not do that

independents still try, but major outlets are concerned about ACCESS. It is a sick thing, and when I point this out, people say it is not true. Well my experience is precisely that. Might be because I live in an area of the country that if we slid to the ocean none would care. Never mind it is the 8th largest city in the country.

(Especially when it comes to politics, the only reason pols care for California it is money, and that is both sides. Major news, well, we could have a major quake, and none would know unless it affects San Fran or LA)

In fact, working on an article on poverty right now... and after some recent reception on this site, I will save myself the tummy ache and not post it on DU. It is not like many here truly have an interest in policy anyhow.

That is my feeling.
