I subsribed to that mag/paper/whatever for many years. Hitchens, Cockburn, Greider (yeah Greider), Van der Huevel (spelling by memory, apologies). People like Hayes and Ari (also on M$NBC) came later IIRC. I just took them as thought provoking, I often disagreed with their writing, though sometimes learned something.

But I thought they were pretty much the left side of the establishment, more a part of it than a remedy for it. They weren't very good on issues they labeled conspiracy theories (but that I considered evidence of conspiring) (Reagan's October surprise, Kennedy assassination denial, the dark entagled roots of 9/11) though I think they were good on documenting the war machine's industry and political ties, other things too of course, just saying they were not turning over too many rocks. Most of the years I subscribed were before the internet, so information was hard to come by.

And I like Chris and Rachel, but they're capable of doing much better and more vital work than what they're doing on M$NBC these days. Disapppointing for sure. Peace, love, and Bernie to you too.
