Democratic Primaries

(58,785 posts)supporters, for sure. I remember last time @90% polled at the NH and IA primaries said they were happy with Hillary as their second choice, and were; the IA pollster even put a word like "respect" or "admire" in a question and these agreed to it.
And, of course, in the end 3/4 of all Sanders voters across the nation were regular Democrats who voted Democrat in the GE.
It's the others, the 24-25% of Sanders voters who refused to vote Democrat. 12% of those voted for Trump. Remember the "Dexit" movement to encourage people to leave the party? That's these folk.
So far at least one pollster measuring for them this year said around the same percentage are again saying it's Sanders or walk. (!) Terrible, but those aren't ours to lose.
Of course, we can always hope something finally causes some to say no to Trump and the growing threat of fascism in the only way that matters. Extreme cruelty to children as a specific federal policy didn't work, but maybe some action will push a more personal button.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
