(8,148 posts)authored the crime bill, and it makes huge leaps to bring together some of the unintended consequences of the bill with the current opioid epidemic. I have addressed the context in other
responses, as well as some of the very good aspects of this multi-part legislation, for which Biden should have no shame.
The opioid epidemic can not be reduced to a result of a single piece of legislation from 25 years ago. The only reason to attempt to make such a case is to smear Biden.
So now not only is Joe Biden solely responsible for holding up the #MeToo movement, in other words, keeping the public from caring about or being aware of sex abuse against women, but he is the engineer of mass incarceration, and now the sinister agent of our latest, nationwide drug epidemic.
Bringing Len Bias in? My gawd, the article threw the kitchen sink at Biden.
Its premise, that if theres consequences to crime, more and worse crime is created, so criminal acts should not be on the books, is plain stupid. Yes, so called friends and fellow partiers are afraid to call for help whether someone is on a pill or heroin, or alcohol, or opioid o.d. Ever has it been. And ever has it been that parents are stumped in making a case that sticks against a drug dealer or the person suspected of giving the kill shot.
The article adds up to sham claims and leaps of logic in its sum, but in its parts reveals a lack of common sense, criminal justice, the course of the opioid epidemic including its various factors.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
