I'm on my husband's employer plan, which could change at any time. I would like to move to something more stable. My own workplace doesn't offer a plan to part-timers like me (academia.)
That said, I understand people who are suspicious about handing everything over to the government because the GOP has shown that they will shit down the neck of any centralized program we pass.
We need to have deeper conversations about all of this.
