(21,020 posts)There are decent Republicans out there who have been disenchanted with Trump. Many have left the Party to become Independents. David Jolley, Justin Amash, Bill Hurd, even Jeff Flake and Bob Corker are Republicans who continue to speak truth to power. I would even say, many in Congress who are deciding not to seek another term. I would not be surprised if there were a number of Congressional Republicans afraid to come out of the woodwork and actually want to work with Democrats to move the country forward.
There are many voters disenchanted to the way the country is going. I know a number of Republicans here in Rochester who I have no issues with, who are decent people. One is the former Governor of Minnesota, Arnie Carlson, who also happens to be one of my Facebook friends as well. When he posts, he is talking as a concerned American, not as a Republican. He would be considered more of a Centrist Democrat than Republican if I were to categorize him.
It is early yet. The growing number of Independents were once Republicans, who will vote for a return of decency, diplomacy, and direction that puts our credibility as a Nation back on the front burner.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
