But the polling we've seen so far indicates it will be close. The same is true for NH.

They're not "throwing in the towel." If you'd try reading the full article, it makes it clear they know this primary race won't be won in the first states.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
