AND, far more importantly
Sanders would also do almost ZERO of the insane damage that a 2nd Trump term would. Especially SCOTUS (assuming we take back the Senate in 2020 and hold it or finally get it in 2022.)
Bernie isn't going to win the primaries anyway, so it is all moot..
Finally, Manchin will back-stab us multiple times over the coming years. He will probably not vote to convict in the Senate, even though he is not up for reelection for 5 years. He is a pure situational ally (and is supporting Collins, the Rethug, in ME), and will sell us out on many keys things. It is a shame he is the best we can do in WV but it appears he is. I am just under NO illusions he is an true ally.
