Bloomberg is not setting himself up to win the Democratic primary. [View all]

His job, in the likely event of failing to secure the nomination is to run as a third party candidate to peel votes off of Warren (or Sanders) to keep them from getting elected.

He's in it to help his billionaire buddies sleep easy at night.
