Democratic Primaries

(43,333 posts)My main concern (obviously) is Pete's systemic trouble with my fellow black voters. In that category, I think Abrams would edge Harris as well, as part of Harris's problems (I have seen a lot of interviews with people of colour say this) is that she is perceived as a 'cop' due to her DA and AG background. I am not sure how much weight to give to that, as Biden is massively up over all others in terms of black voter support, and he was far more draconian for decades as a Senator (super drug warrior, a major force for 'lock 'em up and toss away the key' crime bills) than she was.
I also have to say, I think Abrams would smash Pence even more than Harris (as a debate is not a quasi-legal proceeding wherein Harris would CRUSH him) as she (Abrams) can be truly withering is her critiques and carries a truly righteous sense of purpose against the bigotry, racism, and hate that Pence represents.
Abrams and Buttigieg are the two most impressive (in completely divergent ways too) of the new-to-the-national-stage political speakers I have seen since Obama.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
