(182,139 posts)As for your comments on the Texas delegation, I have been working many years to turn Texas blue and we are seeing progress. The Texas democratic Party is going to turn Texas blue. After the 2016 elections, the GOP had a 20 seat advantage in the Texas House (which was down from a 51 seat majority after 2010 election). For the 2011 session of the Texas legislature, the GOP had a 101 to 49 seat majority in the Texas house. We picked up 12 state house seats in 2018 and have a good chance to pick up the nine seats needed to take over the Texas House. In my county we now have two open state house seats in that Rick Miller (a major homophobe) is not running and Eliz Markowitz is in a special election with GOP candidate who abused his kids by forcing them to take medication to cause these children to vomit if they ate something he did not approve of. The DCCC has targeted six congressional districts including the one where I live in. I have been supporting Sri Preston Kulkarni for Tx CD 22 as well as Lizzie Fletcher for Tx CD 7 and Colin Allgood in Dallas. MJ Hegar has a good chance of beating Cornyn for Senate.
Texas will turn blue and the GOP will be unable to win the electoral college after this happens. There are a large number of real democrats who are working their butts off to turn Texas blue
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
