1. It'll be a referendum on corruption.

Here's how I see it playing out. He'll walk on impeachment, and sell that as exoneration and accuse Dems of unfair prosecution.

He'll respond to attacks on his record with the usual lies and bluster, and counter with smears about how 'corrupt' our candidate is, claiming we are attacking him for things we actually do. He'll hammer on hypocrisy and bothsideism and count on utter disgust to dampen turnout. There is nothing he won't use to smear our candidate, whether factual or not.

Remember, most voters aren't that clued in. The media - for the most part - can be trusted to portray the back and forth in a way that casts Trump as a victim or even as if he's correct. They get ratings and revenue having him in office.

Not looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.
