(905 posts)One of the biggest problems with the "not fair" argument (beyond the more important one about having a better chance of saving our democracy with a well-educated populace) is that the "not fair" crowd is comparing apples and oranges.
They think it's the same as when they went through the motions either for themselves or their own children. They are, by and large, woefully uninformed about the collusion between higher education and the student loan industry that have driven costs to ridiculous figures, all of which would gobsmack them senseless if they actually looked under the hood.
I have yet to see anyone on the "not fair" side of the fence also pointing out the decidedly unfair and unscrupulous practices that today's students are subjected to regarding debt accumulation...apples and oranges.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
