(20,709 posts)Which is obviously true. I still like him, it's just a plain fact that he doesn't have as strong a record on Social Security as Bernie.
My old posts, yeah I've been around since almost the start of DU. 2000 was my first election, I'm still mad at Nader. And I'm still against purity tests and stupid attacks against Democrats.
I was for Obama 08 and Clinton 16. I see a lot of similarities between Clinton 16 and Sanders 20, in the way that there seems to be a wave of unhinged hatred against them. It's odd, because they are different kinds of candidates. But the stuff people do where they try to dig up any silly association or take any little thing out of context to attack the candidate. They did it to Clinton in 16, and they're doing it to Bernie now.
Like, Clinton was a "neoliberal shill" because she was friends with someone who once worked with a Republican, or whatever. Or now, Bernie is some "racist" because his wife tweeted a video made by a guy who a decade ago made a parody video using MLK. That kind of silly hate-based attack on Democrats does nothing but help Republicans, it was true in 16, and it's true now.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
