(4,341 posts)This is another time when the DNC and Democrats need to adhere to reality and learn from 2016. This push against Sanders will only hurt Democrats come November. In 2016 too many of Sanders supporters stayed home and did not vote, they felt the DNC had played a foul game against them, and we have to admit they did, Democrats should not make that mistake again, let the chips fall where they may and if Sanders is to become the nominee then lets put all our efforts behind the candidate.
I ask all of you, what is more important, that your favourite candidate wins or that we get trump and the crooks from the GOP out of office and indicted afterwards? I believe our goal MUST BE to get rid of the crooks, and to do that we need to allow the majority of Democrats to elect who will represent us in November. It is not your favouritism that will determine the outcome in November, it is the majority of Democratic voters that matters. Yes, fight for your favourite candidate, but don't trash the other Democratic candidates to try to make points for yours.
We need to stop the hypocrisy of applauding for people we regularly do not like, but if they say or have anything that aligns with our beliefs then all is good, but if it doesn't align with our beliefs we want to dismiss it, even when its true, and this time Jill Stein is 100% correct.
I hope Democrats do not make the same mistake, the support for Sanders is huge and it cannot be ignored, it could make or break the outcome. We have to understand that many times passions cloud reasoning and logic, and if Sanders' supporters feel cheated and disenfranchised I am afraid their passion will take over their reasoning and we, Democrats, will suffer the consequences.
Correct, nobody asked her anything, but don't turn good advise away just because you don't like the messenger. Stop, take a deep breath, listen to the message, analyze the message, if the message is right then act on it, don't dismiss it.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
