(24,010 posts)most here don't fear change... as for me, my ideology fits closer to Bernie's than the others (I have always called myself a Socialist... well, mostly have called myself a Syndicalist- another story
) ...although
if we are not pragmatic and very careful right now, we have the entire Democracy to lose... what is needed is to work tirelessly to turn the Senate Blue, keep the House Blue and make sure the Democratic Candidate wins... it is a very big diverse Country we have and while so many see the benefits of Bernie's ideology... the chance of him winning nationally are not good (Vermont is a world unto itself and not at all representative of the big United States)
most any of our Democratic Candidates, once in office, will work towards the same Democratic goals...
see DNC Platform https://democrats.org/where-we-stand/party-platform/
Republicans will ruthlessly and relentlessly hammer the Socialism 'thing' if is Bernie is the nominee... I have seen the research and the studies and we have way too many brainwashed voters that buy into that negative stuff and they are afraid... we win them over, we don't force them over... trump has done tremendous damage to our Country and distorted lots of realities and created a monster electorate
