(4,341 posts)The facts are there, whether you want to call it a conspiracy or not, the facts are clear. The DNC in 2016 changed the rules, Sanders' supporters felt the changes were targeted against their candidate and in favour of Hillary. Whether she had the votes or not is irrelevant, the effect was very negative to Democrats in November of 2016, and I am hoping the same does not repeat this year.
This is definitely an election Democrats should win, unless they screw it up themselves, and one of those screw ups would be disenfranchising Sanders' supporters, that is a huge number of Democrats who would not be happy and could make a big difference in the outcome in November.
We need to face the facts to make sure the same doesn't happen by expressing our thoughts to the powers that be to make sure they don't do anything stupid again.
Hiding our heads in the sand won't stop the machete from hitting us on the neck.
