(22,336 posts)Not sure how I feel about that as he would not be my top pick. But not very many people where I live (west Michigan) are going to vote for Sanders. The word "socialist" will always be associated with him, and that scares lots of people. Lots of moderate Democrats too.
People think the fact that he's rich will hurt him but I don't think they understand that wealth has been a large part of Trump's appeal. A lot of people see wealth as a sign of intelligence - which seems astounding with Trump, but they see it as proof that he isn't as dumb as he looks - and people see shouting down wealth and refusing wealth as being impractical, and "impractical" for a lot of people is a synonym for "dumb." As in the "has book smarts but no common sense" kind of dumb.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
