Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: It's interesting the no DUers (or no countable ones) have jumped on the Klobuchar bandwagon. nt [View all]Perseus
(4,341 posts)Disclaimer: I am not trying to bash any candidate, it just made me curious that you go back and forth from two candidates with very different agendas, so I decided to look at more specifics.
Warren also believes in free education for all, Klobucher does not... I believe Klobucher is a great Senator and her contribution is best served there, but that is just my opinion.
Klobucher doesn't seem to want to change education much, of course that she is proposing to better things to the way they are now, but she is not willing to eliminate "Student Loans", just make it easier for students to pay it, at a better rate, so considering that student loans right now are at 8.5%, maybe that could mean a 7.5%? which compared to a loan for a property is about 5% higher?
I just went to her website.
She says she supports "Universal Healthcare" but as a public option and changes to Obamacare making it more affordable. There are no specifics on how affordable she wants to make it, what the expansion to Medicare and Medicaid are.
I could not find where she proposes changes about education on her website, the one I show above came from another website.
Warren's plans are very well explained and extensive:
My plan to cancel student loan debt, provide tuition-free public college. She also wants to improve Public Education and Devos is the 1st one to go.
My Medicare for All plan gives everyone good insurance and cuts their health care costs to nearly zero - without increasing middle-class taxes one penny.
Of course there are more differences between the two candidates...Interesting.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
