Seems like there could be a lot of names in a big state like New York. Maybe they just set the signatures needed to a high number. For Maine, I think the caucus thing to see people in your community seems kind of nice for the purpose for delegate selection and plus you don't have to get all those signatures if you are actually interested in being a delegate that way. I don't think too many people will show up if it is for delegate selection. I think primary is better for voting for prez candidates though. A ton of people want to weigh in on the prez candidates, but I don't think too many care about delegates.
