This tactic is weak.
It is a fact of life that in every presidential election there are primary voters who don't vote for the nominee if their candidate loses. In recent history two primaries are notable. The 2008 primary between Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton and the 2016 primary between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
I would say that inarguably they were both nasty campaigns. The WAPO post an article after the last election that in part looked at this phenomenon. One of the survey groups YouGov had determined that in 2008 24% of Hillary voters ended up voting for John McCain. YouGov found that 12% of Sanders voters voted for tRump 2016. The articke cited another study that said the number was only 6%.

I was Hillary supporter in 2008 and remember it well. Things got very nasty on the campaign trail and online.
In the end the PUMA movement was born
This go around it has been reported that there have been few if any negative ads between campaigns. What we have seen is other supporters claiming one or two Bernie supporters said this or that online.
Back when Kamala Harris was still in the race Hillary claimed that Sanders was attacking her. There seems to be no evidence of that. Hillary has since come out to publicly criticize Sanders Several more times.
If we trace where the bulk of the negative attacks are coming from in this campaign I doubt it will point to Bernie or his supporters.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
