"Russia's number one priority is to sow dissent within the Dem Party and fracture the Dem coalition" [View all]

Short thread. Good point.

Lindsay Beyerstein @beyerstein

Bernie did volunteer last week that some of the negativity in his campaign might might be bots, rather than real supporters.

What if that's the substance of what he was told/allowed to tell by the IC?

It might be difficult to tell what Russia's intent is. Are negative bots attacking Bernie's opponents helping or hurting Bernie? You could argue either way.

I believe that Russia's number one priority is to sow dissent within the Democratic Party and fracture the Democratic coalition, and any rooting interest in the winner is secondary at best.

If that's the goal, then Bernie's as much a victim as a beneficiary of Russia's scheme. It seems unfair to demand that he come forward when he's being maligned as the beneficiary of Russian aid.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
