Place Trump as Nixon and Sanders as McGovern and there you go. There are a ton of differences from 1972 to 2020, almost fifty years later. The networks do not have a fraction of the dominant influence they had, i'm paraphrasing from msnbc earlier today, but they referenced Lyndon B. Johnson saying he lost after Walter Cronkite stopped supporting him. Sanders doesn't necessarily need the support of the democratic establishment to win, or at least their enthusiastic support. With the grassroots organizing and consistent donations from his supporters he may be able to make up that party deficit.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
