(862 posts)personally. And I think it would be ideal to address both. How we get that message out in a way that unites the electorate is a total mystery to me. If we had someone like Obama running, we might have an easier time doing so, but we simply do not. Our choices are limited to a variety of imperfect candidates. I definitely agree that Sanders has not been sufficiently effective in explaining your point about how much we would gain by reducing military spending.
Primarily, I want to see Trump voted out by almost any means necessary, lest the slide into fascism hasten. If that's Sanders, I'll be there with pen in hand and dollars given. If it's Biden or Klobuchar or Buttigieg or even Bloomberg, I'll be there in about the same way.
What a mess. I hope we can right the ship one way or another. I think fanaticism right now is unhelpful on any side, be that the narrative that only Biden or only Sanders can do it. For the record, I really appreciate your honest ask in this post, and the way you are handling the would-be answers to it.
