This year wasn't going to be any different no matter what Trump called for.

There are always some people who vote in the primary for the party to which they are not affiliated, but 1) the number who do so is small and 2) their votes tend to be distributed (they aren't mischievously coalescing around a certain candidate).

Every 4 years, regardless of which party is having a primary, this discussion gets reenacted.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
