Democratic Primaries

(39,374 posts)For different reasons, both have one term written all over them. Ideally, Warren would be the oldest remaining contender and doing better with voters. Her campaign, of which she is admittedly in charge, would certainly do some basic things over again if they had the chance (and if they were honest with themselves). But Im sticking with Warren because the alternatives dont make sense to me as long as I have the chance to support her.
Before this primary started, I didnt think Democrats were in a very good place as a party, and the way things have gone Im feeling validated. Trump has voters completely freaked out and the obsession with electability has propped up Biden. Sanders is also a creature of 2016 issues. His policies are more forward looking but his base appears to be fueled by negative feelings about Democrats as much as it is about beating Republicans, and many Democrats cant stand him. Both men are old. One lost his fastball somewhere between 2016 and 2019 and the other recently had a heart attack and wont release his health records. Were playing for the next election, and not very well at that.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
