No idea why anything I've said leads you to believe I'm trying to nitpick the meaning of these words

My issue is not particularly in regards to this post from today, that's only what reminded me of the fact that I've been irritated with for awhile.

Try googling:

"bernie says jfk made me nauseous"

And check out the LONG list of headlines, and their verbiage.

You are correct in that it is not 'wrong' in terms of being correct English to say "Bernie said Kennedy made him nauseous" ... when it's in regards to a specific action.

But most people, when reading those words, would conclude that he said it about Kennedy IN GENERAL.

I believe that's being done to make what he said ... sound as offensive as possible.

I call that spin.

I'm done arguing, either you get it at this point, or you don't. Good day ...
