(37,364 posts)and we have many good candidates to choose from. I will not vote for Sanders in the primary.
Strong in my thoughts yet is rape fantasy and a candidate whose female staff felt compelled to organize a union because of his tolerance of sexual harassment in his last campaign. His pushung of Sen. Feinstein and constant invasion of women's spaces by waving his hand in their faces is in my memory. Also his tolerance of abusive treatment of women who didn't support him by "bros" has stuck with me. He tolerated much bad behavior.
Equally strong in my memory is the dismissiveness of the concerns of the African American community until he had to be taught that other peoples existed outside of very white Vermont. Need I mention his dismissal of dumping his state's nuclear waste next to a poor Hispanic community?
His history of sucking up to the NRA and the weapons industry looms large.
I still haven't forgotten the ways in which he has used and abused the Democratic party while cozying up to Republicans since his bid to become mayor if Burlington. He's dusting off that playbook for another round.
Sometimes it has been hard to see how to choose between him and the Republican so I will focus now on the primary where I can work for a candidate of my choosing who reflects my values and who can be trusted to follow through.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
