(58,785 posts)Though I was shocked at their condoning of months of dishonest and destructive primary election behaviors, they were too solid in their beliefs to be shaken by Sanders' rhetoric.
It's the OTHER 23-24% I blame Sanders especially for. I blame him for all he said and did that encouraged them to vote for anyone but Democrats.
Btw, 12% of Sanders primary voters voted directly for Trump, another 10% or so threw their votes away third-party instead of standing against Republicans, and 2% did not vote at all, presumably because they bought Sanders' message that Democrats and Republicans were both corrupt. Weak-minded and impressionistic, yes, but Sanders knew what they were and could have gotten most of the last 2 groups to the polls to vote Democrat but did not.
