(41,975 posts)The discussions about race should be harsh and painful and leave a scar on anyone not a victim of racism. Im of the opinion we need to show those scars and not hide behind whiteness. Anyone NOT a victim of racism has been a beneficiary of a system that oppresses.
It was always, always more than economic justicethat is just a convenient fiction to avoid those painful, harsh truth about race and gender and sexuality.
Im less angry, I used to say ( just a few months ago) Id be angry for the rest of my life. I will never forget however. The gaslighting, the distortions and the lies continues with a media with burned fingers that heal fast.
Now personally, I dont believe Bernie Sanders has any pathway to the presidency. Ive never believed that. Many people DO believe that and Im ok with it.
He is, though, a powerful fulcrum, of opinion and votes. We will see how this plays out.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
