(58,785 posts)There were big reasons why Warren wouldn't endorse Sanders before, though he asked repeatedly, and people who imagine they are somehow similar need to look past the labels on policy goals.
Even though some of their avowed goals do overlap largely, they're not at all alike as people. They vary in their principles, standards, ideology, and many beliefs. They differ greatly in both the methods and forms their solutions should take and tremendously in how they relate to their colleagues, and how they performed in the WH would be as extremely different as it is in the senate.
Very notably, Warren left the Republican Party for the Democratic to fight for what she believes from within the seat of power. She chastises her fellow Democrats frequently for not doing what she wants them to but works with them and never betrays. Very strikingly, she would never try to destroy the Democratic Party, both out of good character and principle, but very practically, because working with Democrats is how she gets things done. I-Sanders doesn't play well with others, and his hostile outsider route has always left him isolated and ineffectual.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
