19. I would not support that in California.

I believe Republicans closed their primary and Democrats did not. I think allowing the decline to state voters to vote as Democrats was a great marketing tool for the Democratic Party, a form of outreach to those who don’t wish to officially self-identify.

At the same time, I can also understand wanting to close it off.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
