Biden has lost 2 primaries. What will be different this time? [View all]

He is up against a very wide Democratic primary field, and very weird incumbent. So that's different.
But what strengths does he have now that he didn't have then?

He would do a world of good if he were able to defeat Trump, but I'm not convinced he'll get more than the usual base out to vote, and that's not good enough as witnessed in 2016
