(13,390 posts)Student loan debt, mass incarceration, war spending, the mess the Iraq war evolved into, deregulation, failure to address climate change, welfare "reform," and union busting policies are not something I want to see another presidential candidate defend.
Now, any discussion of those things is going to be interpreted as bashing rather than discussion of the source of damage that brought us to where we are now. Decades of marginal successes, valiant efforts, failures, and bad decisions brought us to this point where youth do not see a bright future for themselves.
It's a lot to ask of voters who are living with the fallout and others who see a dismal future to support a person who helped bring us here. It's time to step aside and let people who have plenty of time left work on it.
