which is not the case for most of them.

The only other thing I've seen produce this level of stupefaction is extreme sleep deprivation.

I don't think most of them need deprogramming. I think they need time away from their phones, someplace they can relearn how to eat when they're hungry and sleep when they're tired.

Even cult deprogrammers know you can't begin to talk to anyone until they're nourished and rested.

I don't know what the long rterm solution might be,maybe timed lockouts on social media.
