I’m proceeding from what he actually did and said on stage. I am speculating that he never actually thought there was much to gain in this interview. Remember he has repeatedly said, “I don’t need the votes.” He later backed off on that, but it seemed clear to me what he really meant (as I originally stated). I think he was conveying confidence that he didn’t need votes because of his plan to obstruct the counting of the proper counting of electoral college votes.
