I seem to be experiencing retaliation, although I can't be certain.
Just putting this out there.
I won't go on the big social media platforms, so anyone who does...if you like anything I say here, please feel free to just steal it. Don't even give attribution.
Fighting Russia might be the most efficient use of resources.
Not as a campaign issue (voters are generally parochial), but in terms of sharpening Biden administration policies on a lower level. From what I've seen, the occupation regime is too chaotic to stand on its own: They rely on a constant system of support and guidance from Moscow to have any sense at all of how not to fall on their asses, and still manage to get it wrong on a constant basis.
Disrupting the support pipeline from Moscow to the GOP would be more strategically effective than focusing solely on the GOP. I don't know what that means specifically, but it's clearly a general fact.
We're discussing holding some free historical movie showings.
Films with a lot of anti-fascist weight. Like Spielberg's war movies, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, other stuff. Also The Pianist which goes really hardcore, and adjacent topics like that Tarantino one that's more inspiring than educational.
Probably mix in some high-brow material just to sneak in even deeper messages about the nature of liberty. Maybe Judgment at Nuremberg, that sort of thing. Prompt folks to understand what's happening in front of them.
It's still just a discussion, but I like the thought process.
Justin Trudeau is the closest thing the United States has to a President right now.
This is awkward, strange, and inconvenient. And yet it's true.
The number 14 as a meme, for 14th Amendment.
Could just be random pattern recognition, but I could swear I've seen more protests and related events lined up for the 14th than other dates. Is it an intentional nod to the constitutional illegality of the regime? If so, it could turn into a rallying symbol.
NASA Official Warns Staff About Publicly Displaying Their Badges Amid Reports of Harassment
Source: ProPublica
A high-ranking NASA official warned his employees Friday to use discretion in public when displaying badges or emblems that identify them as federal workers part of an effort, the agency says, to protect its employees amid stories of possible harassment outside of work.
We are all very proud to work for the space program, wrote Dr. James Polk, NASAs chief health and medical officer. But in the current environment, with a lot of negative rhetoric coming in our direction, I want you all to please use caution.
[...]
Polks warning to employees came two days later, after receiving a report about an employee who was assaulted at a Starbucks. This is probably one of the saddest emails I have had to write of late, he said in the email, which was obtained by ProPublica.

The Reptile nutters do pick the strangest agencies as targets, don't they?
Hiya. New here.
Little backstory: I grew up watching C-Span (don't ask), and I noticed a pattern emerge from the people doing floor speeches in Congress. For some reason one group of people were unpleasant, fidgety, self-contradictory weirdos who said oddly mean things that rang false, and there was always an "R" next to their name. Not everyone with an "R" was like that, but everyone like that had an "R". All of them. While the ones with the "D" just seemed like regular people.
The older I got, the more I understood what it was: The tip of the iceberg. There's no words for the evil I saw R's commit day after day, year after year, and they've kept digging themselves to hell ever since (and trying to drag America and the world with them).
But there's another side to that coin: When I watched C-Span, the "D" politicos often seemed low-key afraid. They seemed honest, but also seemed scared of the things they were saying, and kept trying to soften or smooth it out at their own expense and to the benefit of the "forehead-vein people" (as I often thought of R's back then). That's gotten worse with time, so it's up to non-politicians to keep it real.
With that thought in mind, someone recommended this site to me, so thought I'd have a go.
