Amid an escalating feud inside the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement between President Donald Trump and one of his staunchest supporters, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, the president has given her a new nickname—Marjorie “Traitor” Greene.

The congresswoman wrote on X on Saturday that because of the president’s rhetoric and commentary about her, she has been receiving “a hot bed of threats” from people “being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world.”

Newsweek has reached out to Greene’s press team and the White House for comment via email on Saturday.

President Trump said he was “very angry” and “pissed off” after Russian President Vladimir Putin — as he threatened harsh tariffs on Moscow’s oil over the stalled peace talks.

The American president appeared to be fed up with Putin over the lull in the cease-fire talks after Moscow announced additional conditions before it complies with a US-backed deal to limit attacks in the Black Sea and away from energy facilities.

Specifically, Trump railed against a report that Putin called for a transitional government in Ukraine that would push out President Volodymyr Zelensky. Putin also said Ukraine’s generals should remove Zelensky themselves, according to a report from AFP.

“If Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault — which it might not be — but if I think it was Russia’s fault, I am going to put secondary tariffs on oil, on all oil coming out of Russia,” Trump told NBC News on Sunday.

“That would be that if you buy oil from Russia, you can’t do business in the United States,” he added. “There will be a 25% tariff on all oil, a 25- to 50-point tariff on all oil.”

Biden's total student debt relief passes $183 billion, after he forgives another 150,000 borrowers

In his final days in office, President Joe Biden announced that his administration would forgive student debt for more than 150,000 borrowers.

That relief includes nearly 85,000 people who attended schools that “cheated and defrauded their students,” 61,000 borrowers with a total and permanent disability and another 6,100 public service workers, Biden said in a statement.

“Since Day One of my Administration, I promised to ensure higher education is a ticket to the middle class, not a barrier to opportunity, and I’m proud to say we have forgiven more student loan debt than any other administration in history,” Biden said.

Since Biden took office, he has forgiven debt for more than 5 million federal student loan borrowers, totaling $183.6 billion in relief.


As a result of actions like it's easy for Americans to see that Biden and the Democrats are working to improve the lives of working-class Americans.

Laura Loomer accused Elon Musk of “totalitarian” behavior after she and other critics of the X owner were stripped of their verification badges after criticizing Musk’s comments on American workers and foreign H-1B visa holders.

Loomer, a conspiracy theorist and loyal supporter of President-elect Donald Trump, was locked out of her X account and stripped of her verification badge (she has more than one million followers) after criticizing Musk. New York Young Republican Club president Gavin Wax, InfoWars host Owen Shroyer, and the pro-Trump ConservativePAC were also stripped of their verification badges.

“[Musk] is now admitting it’s retaliation,” Loomer wrote on Friday in response to a message put out by Musk.

According to Musk, accounts that are “found to be engaged in coordinated attacks to spam target accounts with mute/blocks will themselves be categorized – correctly – as spam.”

“Live by the spam, die by the spam,” he wrote.

More than half of the living US recipients of the Nobel Prize for economics signed a letter that called Vice President Kamala Harris’ economic agenda “vastly superior” to the plans laid out by former President Donald Trump.

Twenty-three Nobel Prize-winning economists signed onto the letter, including two of the three most recent recipients.

“While each of us has different views on the particulars of various economic policies, we believe that, overall, Harris’ economic agenda will improve our nation’s health, investment, sustainability, resilience, employment opportunities, and fairness and be vastly superior to the counterproductive economic agenda of Donald Trump,” the economists write in the letter obtained by CNN.

Far-right Twitter troll gets 7 months in prison for election interference scheme

A far-right Twitter troll who posted fake ads telling Hillary Clinton supporters they could vote in the 2016 election by text was sentenced to seven months in prison Wednesday.

Douglass Mackey, 34, was convicted of election interference in March, after a trial that drew the attention of anti-extremist groups and right-wing politicians and pundits.

Despite his arguments in court motions that his activities were protected First Amendment speech, Brooklyn Federal Court Judge Ann Donnelly countered that he was being sent to prison for conspiring to take away people’ right to vote.

“You are not being sentenced for your political beliefs or for expressing those beliefs,” she said. “Each one of us has the right to hold opinions and express those opinions.”

“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity & campaign finance seeking D.A., who sadly presides over a record breaking Murder & Violent Crime area, Atlanta. Therefore, the News Conference is no longer necessary!”

I come to a particular opinion about TFG

The man seems only to be able to gravitate toward and relate to people with a noticeable measure of Celibrity. The only exception being Military leaders in full uniform.

I suspect he is this way because attaining Celebrity is the only real accomplishment he achieved on his own, and hence it's the only way he can relate to others.

Look at the Midterms and the people he really got behind and how the election turned out for them:
- J D Vance - he won
- Kari Lake - huge defeat
- Hershel Walker - galactic defeat for the entire GOP
- Mehmet Oz - huge defeat - crushing blow
- Tudor Dixon - huge defeat

They all share the Celebrity characteristic.
