The CIA claims it will be able to 'read' these devices via the internet - and perhaps even via radio waves from outside the home.

I'm curious
about the criteria used by the ACLU to take this case.
Also if the United States Government had Tortured me, an American citizen, I would expect a hell of
a lot more than an apology and acknowledgment of their wrongdoing.
From my understanding the ACLU does not take cases on an individual basis - those that will have an effect to an individual
and no others. Is the ACLU expecting an influx of American citizens claiming some insidious secretive Torture regimen that
has been taking place, with the public in the dark of this Unconstitutional conspiracy?
