For those wondering, yes, bars in DC area are opening early tomorrow (link to watch also provided)

https://dcist.com/story/19/02/26/these-bars-are-opening-early-so-you-can-watch-the-michael-cohen-hearing/

Based on how all the Republicans are acting, what Michael Cohen has on Trump must be incredibly damning. How does fireworks in February sound?

Here is a youtube link to watch/listen tomorrow for those at work and have chosen to not take a "sick" day:

We are really heading towards a dangerous slippery slope with 2020 just around the corner

https://twitter.com/IsaacDovere/status/1094007326489616384

This will allow the GOP to exploit this with false accusations all over the place. It is not hyperbole to say this could very well be the Russia of 2020. No one should ever resign without due process. This is a terrible precedent that will end up biting a lot of people in the ass going forward. I really wish some in the party would stop jumping to conclusions without a complete and thorough investigation first. This is very concerning going forward.

Here is one sensational, yet scary image

If one did not now better, you would think this is a scene from The Day After Tomorrow. This is REAL.

Florida Democrats need to address their issues with the Hispanic vote

https://twitter.com/MikeGrunwald/status/1064308126927736832

Rick Scott knew in order to win the Senate race he had to mitigate his losses with Hispanics and was very successful in doing so. Bill Nelson made a very poor effort in doing so and perhaps took them for granted, and in general ran pretty lousy campaign. I realize a large part of the Hispanic base in Florida is Cuban, who tend lean heavily to the right (especially older ones), but only winning this demographic by single digits is pathetic. I know a lot of Democrats were banking on Puerto Ricans giving them a boost at the polls but that never materialized. Rick Scott traveled to PR and made an effort to reach out and at least pretending like he cared. It payed off.

The Florida Democratic Party Chair really needs to go after the poor showing in this election. Two very winnable elections were lost because the Republicans are simply way better organized and always turn out there voters in SW Florida and in the Panhandle in BIG numbers. If Democrats are relying on ex-felons to put them over the top in 2020, they will be sorely mistaken, just like they did with PR voters. It all starts in SE Florida where Democratic base is. Turnout in Broward and Dade counties was terrible relative to the rest of the state. It all starts there and making a better effort in reaching out to Hispanic voters.

Nice Job Florida!!! Take a bow!!!

Your butterfly ballot cost us the White House in 2000, and now your terrible and flat out lazy ballot design cost us an important Senate seat and put Rick Scott of all people in the Senate.

CA-39: Cisneros narrows deficit to 1,957 votes

Here is CA-39:

Good news is that votes came from OC. I wonder when LA county will add votes and how many total votes remain outstanding from the three counties? I am a little nervous about this one.
