The government controls regulations…corporations control markets…mobs control noise…but you control reaction.
That is your last and greatest freedom.
When everything feels rigged…decide how you’ll think…speak…and act anyway.
Train your nervous system to pause two seconds before reacting. Those two seconds are civilization.
Master that gap, and you become untouchable.

LAW 13: USE SELECTIVE IGNORANCE
You cannot drink from a firehose of despair.
Every alert…every scandal…every algorithm screams for outrage. Filter it. Ask: “Does this help me act better today?” If not, delete it.
Strategic ignorance is not apathy…it’s defense of bandwidth.
Great survivors mastered what to ignore: rumors…doom-talk…emotional contagion.
Guard attention like ammunition. Waste none of it on noise you can’t change.

Radio-Canada apologizes after reporter uses antisemitic language on air

Correspondent Élisa Serret was doing a television hit from Washington about U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio's visit to Israel — a trip that came soon after Israeli forces launched strikes on Hamas targets in Qatar.

Asked by the host of news program Sur le terrain why the U.S. has not distanced itself from Israel in the wake of that military action, Serret said in French "the Israelis, in fact the Jews, finance a lot of American politics" and control a "big machine."

She added that America's big cities and Hollywood are "run by Jews."In

The fact that anyone would think this perfectly fine to say on the air on the CBC.

Suspect arrested in assault of Jewish father in front of his children in Montreal's Parc-Extension

The Montreal police have arrested a 24-year-old suspect in connection with the assault of a Jewish man in front of his children in the city’s Parc-Extension neighbourhood last week.

The attack, which was captured on video, sparked widespread condemnation from politicians and Jewish advocacy groups.

According to police, the victim, 32, had made his way to the park with his young children when the suspect approached him and sprayed him with his water bottle.

Police say the victim attempted to confront the suspect over it, who then “pushed him to the ground and punched him several times in the face and kneed him.”

In the video, the suspect can be seen repeatedly punching the victim while he is on the ground. A little girl can be heard yelling as she stands beside and then clings to the victim, who manages to make it back on his knees and eventually stands.

The video ends with the suspect walking away and throwing what appears to be a kippah on the wet ground near a fountain.

Quebec, and Montreal in particular, has been a pit of antisemitism for the last 2 decades.

I am sure someone in GD would say this has nothing to do with the victim being Jewish and something something Israel.

Carroccia says she didn’t find the complainant’s evidence to be “credible or reliable,” and said the Crown did not prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

The justice is going over the evidence heard at trial in detail, pointing out inconsistencies between E.M.'s evidence this year and her civil lawsuit in 2022.

The accused — Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Alex Formenton, Dillon Dubé and Cal Foote — had all pleaded not guilty.

The complainant, E.M., whose identity is protected under a standard publication ban, testified over nine days during the trial

Antisemitism in Ontario's K-12 Schools

Antisemitism has become so acceptable here. I was going to put this in GD but firstly it would be ignored and secondly the usual assclowns would come out to defend it.

More than 65% of respondents reported an antisemitic incident in their child’s school to school authorities. Nearly 35% did not. Non-reporting seems to have been mainly the result of two circumstances. Some children insisted that their parents not report the incident, fearing it would become public, and they would consequently become the target of increased harassment or bullying. As the parent of a Grade 11 Toronto student said: “My child doesn't trust school authorities because last time s/he reported an antisemitic ‘Heil Hitler,’ the school didn’t keep it discreet and s/he was bullied afterwards.” Alternatively, some parents believed that reporting the incident would fail to elicit meaningful action from the school, having heard or witnessed as much in the past.

Table 7 corroborates the last point. It categorizes 781 responses to the question: “What did your child’s school do about the incident? Please select all options that apply.” Again, multiple responses were permitted. In 49% of cases, school authorities did not investigate the reported incident. In an additional 8% of cases, their review of the incident led them to conclude—contrary to the assessment of parents and their children—that the incident was not antisemitic. In a small number of cases, school authorities recommended what amounts to the punishment of victims: in just over 1% of cases, school authorities suggested that the victim be removed from the school permanently or attend school virtually.

Deportation orders issued to 3 Iranian regime officials in Canada: CBSA

Three people have been found ineligible to remain in Canada in recent years for being senior officials of the Iranian regime, the federal border agency says.

Deportation orders were issued for all three and one has been removed from Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency said Wednesday.

In 2022, Ottawa declared Iran’s leaders — including senior government and security agency officials — inadmissible to Canada due to involvement in terrorism and human rights violations.

The border agency says the designation, which was expanded last year, denies any senior official of the regime access to Canada in the first place.

Wave of syringe attacks mar France's street music festival

PARIS, France — French police have detained twelve suspects after 145 people reported being pricked with syringes during the country’s annual street music festival, officials said Sunday.

Millions of people took to the streets across France on Saturday evening for the Fete de la Musique, with authorities reporting “unprecedented crowds” in Paris.

Before the party, posts on social media had called for women to be targeted during the festivities.

Across France, 12 suspects have been arrested, the interior ministry said. Among them were four people in the southwestern city of Angouleme suspected of having targeted around 50 victims, said a police source.

Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol rioter arrested in Whistler

An American fugitive’s snowboard trip to Whistler was cut short this week, four years to the day after he illegally entered the U.S. Capitol building with throngs of rioters.

Antony Vo, 32, arrived in Whistler on Christmas Eve after reportedly entering the country via Saskatchewan. Claiming political persecution, Vo filed for refugee asylum, as he awaited President-elect Donald Trump to take office and fulfil his promise to pardon the Jan. 6 rioters.

“We can confirm that Mr. Vo, a fugitive from U.S. justice, was arrested without incident in Whistler, B.C. on Jan. 6, 2025 on warrant under the [Immigration and Refugee Protection Act],” a spokesperson for the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) told Pique in a statement.
