There were many of us stating that we had to have the fight. If not the issues would not be resolved and it would just be kicking the can down the road.
That kick didn’t go far and here we are, less than 90 days later.
It was a horrible mistake and lessons should be learned.
Unfortunately, this is how I think the Pretti situation will go down
Was watching CNN for all of 10 minutes prior to getting disgusted. Had an ex MN Dem congressman and ex R Gov. Pawlenty.
After reading the statement from the R who pulled out of running for Governor they came back to the two men. The Dem began by heaping praise on Pawlenty (OK, Pawlenty isn't a typical R asshole) and then was asked if by the host if the bipartisanship may provide an opportunity for everyone to work together to pass the funding bills. The damn sequence was so scripted it was puke inducing)
The Dems response, I hope so, why just today with the announcement of Tom Homan coming you can already see improvement at ground level.

How about a very simple statement. "We have a long way to go to repair any degree of trust. Two people have been murdered on the streets, along with thousands of human rights violations in just this month. We need all agents involved in both shootings returned to MN for questioning and booking of the shooters. We need all evidence turned over within 24 hours on both shootings and the lead investigators will be MN appointed effective immediately. We have all intent to work with any Federal Agencies, but again, the people of MN, the people of the United States deserve no less."
Any push back, ... "After the incendiary lies from Bovino, Miller, Noem, Vance and tRump how can you possibly make that statement."
So with that, the CNN cluster is exactly what I expect to be pushed by Repukes, CNN, and Fox. (Again, it was an obviously scripted segment to minimize all the sins) And the game plan will be let's just move on, tRump kind of apologized by firing Bovino, we can't expect much more from him so Dems should move forward and get the budget approved.
We all need to push all of our reps to freeze funding, we get the same bipartisanship bullshit line from them, we ask them how can they make that statement, how can you put any trust in tRump not to do it again once he gets the funding that he wants. (So he can skim some)

She gave the 1st District 48 hours on Friday night to clear up the SNAP funding. If as assumed, she was taking the most expeditious route.
By Sunday, eight to ten Dem Senators caved.
Assume the bill passes tomorrow, then at best two days was saved.
Did the Dems get a guarantee that Trump would back off the States that funded the benefits? Likely hell no.
So again, people went to fight, won numerous elections on Tuesday, yet these Dem Senators allow the vote to save two days?

This has the potential of an 8.0 seismic event.
The Shitstain and Repukes have been running roughshod over the Country this year. We have had some fighters, basically the usual crew, those that get called communist and socialists by the Repukes, and too progressive by way too many Dems.
Then we get a couple of Dem Governors join the fray, in both cases they could have kicked back, let the Red States deal with the majority of the fall out.
In the case of Newsom, he fought for a proposition that had less than 40 percent approval out of the gate. Ended up winning by a two to one margin. Ads ran with all the usual crew (AOC, Bernie, Crocket, Obama) who put their asses on the line.
Then less than a week later, the non fighters cave, basically a direct FUCK OFF from the appeasement crowd.
You will see many posts from progressives stating donations will only go to progressive candidates, the logical next occurrence, a FUCK OFF back to those who have the gall to question progressives.
Now, I have already seen a post shitting on Newsom, are you fucking kidding me! I have two words for anyone making these types of statements.
Note: I was never a Bernie Bros., never voted for him, so for the appeasers, don’t kid yourself into thinking we will fall in line.

The Repukes are on the ropes, took an ass whooping less than a week ago, and a deal that basically does nothing in the long term is being considered AND if reporting is to believed, has support of enough Dem Senators.
It is like the GOP took 1,000 hostages and will return one, the other 999 can literally die.
Guess what to those defending this shit, the Repukes will still come after the one saved AND more.
Another analogy, it is like being down by 5 points in a football game, ball at the opponents one, first down, end of the first half and then taking a knee. Because the opponent has been cheating, taking cheap shots, but they promised if you don’t score they MIGHT, play fair in the second half.

Need some insight
Why are Dems not gerrymandering the hell out of CA, MA, NY, and any other blue state?
I get why CA redrew districts 20 years ago. Ended up with much more logical districts that represented constituents.
But damn, if the Repukes are going to be cheating assholes, if the Courts are compromised, and if Repuke Reps refuse to do their job, and all are true, then why in the hell are Dems not giving the pukes a taste of their own medicine?
