And I've seen some pretty horrific numbers as to how much things of skyrocketed over the past few years...
I wasn't paying attention in 2007-08 when the first big housing bubble burst.
Were there any indicators before it crashed?
Was it fast like an actual bubble burst or a building up and blow out?
Just curious if prices and homes are going to go bust in the next couple years or not.. we all have our opinions as to where things are going but I'm just curious about the indicators since I really am clueless when it comes to economy stuff.

24 years ago... 9/11 - Compared to today's 'event'
Even though W was President, we had a collective sense of "we're in this together"... was it because the bad guys were not from this country? Was it because they had brown skin or had fundamentalist religious ideals?
Was it because the victims were multiplied and their religious/political alignment was unknown, so they stood for All of US...?
Here we are, on the eve of 9/11/25 with something happening to ONE individual and people are losing their goddamn minds.
They don't even have a suspect in custody (correct me if I am wrong, I don't have cable news) and the Republicans are pointing fingers at the "libruls" and the Left is divided (as usual) some saying ALL violence is wrong, some saying he deserved what he got.
I don't necessarily have a direction with this post, just noticing the difference in the collective landscape. And while I am having trouble personally finding any empathy in my own mind, I understand that what happened isn't okay.
It just seems like we're a long way from any kind of unity, maybe further than ever. This might be our "assasination of Ferdinand" that started WW1, but on our own soil. It's gonna get worse before it gets better...

If not, I highly reccomend. A story about an average guy who meets a messiah in the corn fields of the midwest...

BOTH adult kids got evicted this week!
One in Reno, working in Truckee...probably coming back to my house until we can figure it out. The other one in NC and I have no way to help them...
The one in reno can't come u with enough to ay the late fees and the GF is leaving him high and dry. The one In NC just got told the house is being sold out from under them.
I'm so sick of all this instability in our lives. Thought they were gonna be ok because they both had good jobs... but I guess not.
And I still don't know where my next groceries are coming from, so what can I do ...?
So scared for all of us
welp, I'm trying to get back into college...
I flaked out on my ASU classes in the Spring, kinda had a nervous breakdown after the whole spouse trying to kill me thing... hopefully they will let me back in.
Got an advisor appt tomorrow am.
I currently owe them $4K or so for flaking, I guess I will have to re-take the classes I failed and get back in good graces before financial aid will kick back in. But al least I can try to get SOMETHING working ...!

Worst time in history to try to start a business. Especially stuck at home with a broken car.
Son was gonna send me some money for groceries, and I've got tons of stuff on FB marketplace too.
Can't apply for a 'normal' job without transpo (living in the county there's no transit) so remote work is a LOT of scams.
Tryng to regroup, figure out a different angle.
Running out of food. Got half a bag of rice and canned beans for a couple more days,, no cat food or litter. (I'll throw them outside and hope for the best - maybe they will eat a chipmunk.
I've even been playing those stupid games on my ohone for pennies to try and make something...
Long story short, anyone got $40 I can borrow? Cant go a go fund me...bank acct is overdrawn and it takes a week to drop...

Indeed and LinkedIN are bullshit. I don't know what to do anymore - I have the skills, just noplace to put them.
I have a BA in Journalism, and 20+ years of wisdom and experience in ALL types of fields...hotel reservations, data entry, customer service etc... supposedly all these remote jobs are out there for the pickin... so why can't I find something?
If anyone has a back-door or a link to something that DOESN'T require some kind of subscription...

I had a domain for my biz but got shut down due to inability to pay the bill. I am taking it as a hint to redesign the whole website and new domain.

I literally have noting on any of my credit cards t do a free trial or anything, so I am at a loss right now...
AND I have no tech savvy when it comes to this stuff! (I learned how to build websites in the 90's lmao) So half of the stuff they talk about having is just greek to me!

Don't know if it matters, but I am a Windows user...
