GPV's Journal"Recently, we shared first-person responses from former Trump supporters describing the exact aha moments when things
finally clicked for them. The post sparked an overwhelming response, and since it's been exactly one year since Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20, 2025, now felt like the right moment to revisit the conversation.

What's the difference between Hitler's brown shirts and ICE?
The brown shirts dressed better.
Middle school science did Angler Fish, so I made one too.
Watercolor, acrylic, metallics, graphite and ink.

Cheapest place to get scripts delivered to your door?
I'm so tired of having to drive 45bmin one way to get them from WalMart, which is cheaper than small pharmacies here in Maine.
I have Amazon Prime, but not sure how they are on meds.
EDITED to add wedding location: ElderGreenKid wedding pics, plus art Dad and I made for them. :)

Yesterday's counter-protest experiences???
Bangor, ME. I was at the intersection by the park, so lots of stopped traffic to interact with. Received several shout-downs and middle fingers, to which I replied, "Love you too, bud/girl!" (Except the middle school girls, to whom I shouted, "Someday you will be grown up and free to make your own decisions."
To the Proud Boy truck, I hollered, "I've got PRIDE, too!"
For the lady blasting Lee Greenwood from her little KIA sedan, I had nothing. Couldn't stop laughing. Same for the gent in the Tesla truck. LOL Rolling meme, that one!
As I was brandishing my signs and tee shirt, shouting, "Save the Constitution! Save the USA!" an irate gentleman, who had shuffled away from the huge crowd behind me, confronted me as to whether or not I believed in the First Amendment. I said, "Of course, and these signs are me exercising that right while I still have it." He went on to complain that the crowd had chased him away, saying they'd call the police if he kept shouting at them. I replied that I was sorry to hear that, but I was not in charge of the crowd and couldn't help him. Did say he was fine to stand with me on the corner, but he moved on.
It was quite an experience, but I'd say that reactions were mostly split between positive and neutral. How was your experience?

Did my part in Bangor, ME. #NoKings
Big turnout in the park. Unsure of the numbers as I was down at the intersection getting the attention of the traffic down there.

Some days I still really struggle with the scars of 14 years of bullying in school, and I really have to work hard to
rewrite the hideous messages that left me with. This week, I focused on telling myself a new story, one of worthiness and acceptance. If it speaks to you or sounds helpful for someone you know, please share it. ❤️ (I read it over and over while listening to this beautiful, peaceful music:

I am forgiving. I am letting go. I am safe, inside and out. I vanquish the lies that make me fearful, doubtful, and ashamed. I banish negativity. I am safe. All is well.
All of me -- all parts-- all cells and layers are worthy of my love and readily accept it as their birthright.
I radiate gratitude, satisfaction, contentment, and peace. I have hope. I am hopeful.
