A few notes to all US business runners.
A business leader in Russia leads until they don't.
An oligarch is an oligarch until they aren't.
Most C-Floor meetings in Russia revolve around how to get business done while paying the fewest bribes.
A strongman leader doesn't need permission to clean out your accounts.

I just cannot believe the nominations being proffered for serious positions within the massive machine that is the United States of America. People, some who you know, will die from his decisions. Many will become destitute. I hope for the best for my family.

Take America Back Again From Whom?
I see these flags. They fade quickly, they are tattered, they appear to be designed by a child who just discovered PowerPoint. The flags proudly proclaim that the goal is to Take America Back Again.
How do you take something back that cannot be owned? As citizens, we belong to America; but America does not belong to us. The United States of America is a concept, not a possession. It takes all of us to make this work. Is it working as well as it could be? No. Is it working better than almost any other option? Yes.
We all have a role in keeping our society up and running. I am not good at making donuts; I trade my time for money so I can buy delicious donuts. I am not good at treating sewage; I trade my time to pay my taxes so that my sewage is properly processed. We all work together to create a society that benefits all of us. Even the Proud Boys have a purpose. They are examples of what not to do. They can’t even U-Haul right.
We have challenges ahead of us. If someone wants to take America back from me, they have lost it for themselves.
Lies are used to activate the ignorant. Lies are used to justify grievance. Bigotry and hate are based on lies. The lies of the MAGA movement are promoted by entities that do not want America to be Great. Intentional ignorance and greed are blights that will slow our evolution. Blights must be dealt with.
Here is what Take America Back Again means to the former president: Put me back in the Oval Office so I can Take what belongs to America Back to Mara Lago where I can sell to the highest bidder, Again. He cannot be allowed to do it.
Get registered, remind someone else to register, vote.
Former President Donald Trump Knows Nothing, About Anything
He doesn't know that rape is bad.
He doesn't know that theft is bad.
He doesn't know that lying is bad.
He doesn't know how numbers work.
He doesn't know what words are.
Can't ride a bike.
Can't drive a car.
He has failed at EVERYTHING he has ever attempted.
The only reason to support this ignoramus is because he allows a bigot to be a bigot.
That is all they have. They have carefully tended to their hate.
That hate has grown into a tree that the GOP rests under.
The tree of hate has supplied the planks for their platform.
That tree must be cut down and destroyed before it once again bears strange fruit.
What is the path forward? How do we fix the damage? How do we stop the lies?
Lies have infected our country. Our freedom of speech has been twisted to benefit the few. Lies have been used to turn us against one another. Lies have damaged our planet and made the future for our children less secure.
We have been raised to believe that all opinions have merit. That in itself is a lie. An opinion based upon a falsehood does not have merit.
When Kelly Anne said there were, "Alternative Facts", we had our opportunity to say , "No, there are not alternative facts; there are facts and there are lies." We failed. We all embraced the first amendment and let her spread their manure. That foul odor will never fade.
It is time for a correction. The French shamed the collaborators after the war. We are in a war to save the best place to live in the world. This truly is a great country. This war must be non-violent. The greatest country ever known should be able to reconcile our differences while maintaining respect for one another.
As such, part of a progressive victory will require that we help those who have been mislead. Help to understand the harm they have done to themselves and others. We will literally have to re-educate some of those around us. I absolutely hate having to type those words in that order.
I believe that we have had over 44 years of bullshit rolling down the bullshit mountain turning into the largest bullshit ball ever, Donald Trump. Rush Limbaugh spewed more shit on a daily basis than all the livestock in Iowa. It will be a challenge to clean it all up and it will not be pleasant.
Who will come forward to lead a return to honesty?. The obvious candidates could be the clergy. They might be interested but it would cut into the profits. (I don't understand how "Megachurch" is a thing. Not one of Jesus' ideas.) Anyways, they seem to be in on the lie as well. Maybe they need a reminder about the commandment that says, "Don't LIE!"
Is there a Will Rogers or Samuel Clemmons in our time? Someone to speak truth to power. Someone who will be the Anti-Limbaugh? The only way this works is if we ALL begin saying, "STOP the lies." A lie is a theft, it is the theft of the truth. I'm tired of being robbed.
A callous or hateful comment may be made by an ignorant soul. In the past that comment got as far as those within earshot. Now that comment gets broadcast globally and is amplified by networks specifically designed to drive wedges between otherwise cooperative people. All for profit somehow. If you do not understand that outside interests want a weak United States, you haven't been paying attention.
A strong United States is our best chance to leave a home for our grandchildren and beyond. It is hard to steal the value of a strong united progressive country. Don't let the liars take what belongs to the citizenry of the United States of America.
Soon there will be millions (billions?) of refugees looking for clean water and somewhere to get out of the heat. Some of them already live in our desert southwest. We need to get over all of these contrived differences so that we can save their lives. I hope I am wrong. I cry because I believe I am right.
Why do they hate their neighbors? Why do they hate?
When a Trump flag goes up it tells you something. When a MAGA hat is donned it says the same thing. It does not necessarily indicate support for the orange anus. It does indicate that the owner hates something.
The one thing that connects all of the Trump supporters is hate.
They hate progressives. They hate women. They hate LGBTQIA+. They hate men who support women and minorities. When it comes down to it, they hate a lot of people. If your neighbor is flying a Trump flag, they probably hate someone in the neighborhood. They may hate me. They may hate you. They probably will never know how many people they hate at the grocery store.
I believe that hate is a learned behavior. You usually learn it from your parents, you often learn it from your peers.
That means that hate is a choice. If you choose to hate, you are pro-choice.
Part of evolving includes changing behaviors as you learn from past mistakes.
My grandmother stood at the front door yelling slurs at the migrant workers our local economy depended upon. I do not.
It is my goal to be a better person than my father was, I hope i am succeeding.
