Hurricane Hazel in 1954 was the last one to reach DC with hurricane force winds, so it's overdue for another one, and with global warming, maybe we can get lucky and a severe hurricane will hit DC on the 14th, and without warning, cuz the tyrant has gutted the National Weather Service. I can't think of a more apt way for Mother Nature to celebrate the day.
Trump confirms my April 21 sarcasm: "I want to be the Pope"
Yes, I wrote "Trump expected to be named next pope" as sarcasm, but humor and sarcasm and irony have lost their meaning, because nothing can beat the incredible reality of the monster tyrant known as Donald Trump. Oh, if only his mom had chosen an abortion . . .
Instead, here we are with a clearly insane criminal doing his best, aided and abetted by gutless, stupid cabinet and clueless cult members, to destroy 250 years of US democracy.
There was a clue on "Jeopardy" yesterday about "the American Revolution." I told my wife, "They mean the FIRST American Revolution." Trump says "no one can stop me." Well, we'll see about that. And if it means I buy a gun for the first time in my long life, so be it. All decent Americans are being tested now like no time since the First Civil War. Whether we meet the challenge and pass the test will determine the fate of this republic.

I'm not sure what the US presidential election has to do with the pope in the first place, but despite the humanity the pope displayed at other times and places, what I'll remember him for is equating MAGA and Trump, a convicted felon and sexual predator, with Harris, a decent, compassionate, prosecutor. He said they were essentially the same, that it didn't matter who you voted for, that both were "evil."
Well, today the flags in the US are flying at half mast for the man who said Trump or Harris--both are evil, so it doesn't matter. I begged to differ when he said it, and I especially beg to differ now.

Say what you want about the man, but I can't respect anyone--pointy hat or not--who would make such a ludicrous statement. The pope might as well have said the rabble were right when they chose Barabbas over Jesus because, after all, it was a choice of the lesser evil.
JD Vance visited Pope Francis, and then the pope died. It was nice of the pope to meet real evil face-to-face while he could.

Known as an incredible military strategist, Trump can stop wars in one day with a single phone call. He already has the nuclear football, so he can fire a hail Mary at any country at any time, so advisers believed it wise to consolidate authority in the man most qualified to wield it. Top regime advisers further believe that Trump taking over as his own secretary of defense is the only way to make American defense great again.

A recent release from the White House says the great and powerful Dictator Donald is expected to add a new title soon . . . Pope.
Yes, a quick poll of the college of cardinals has found that Donald is the heavy favorite. Of course, Donald would be the first non-Catholic pope in history, but due to his brilliant mind, unmatched health, religious fervor, and the publication of his very own Bible, not being Catholic is expected to be little more than a footnote to his historic election.
