Do you think the MSNBC+ spinoffs were to provide some protection to Comcast's more valuable assets?

I know these announcements could come at any time and it might be a coincidence, but spinning MSNBC and CNBC into a subsidiary would give some cover if Trump ever came after those stations for perceived transgressions. Just a thought. Maybe, somebody just might have wanted to remove stagnant properties off their balance sheet and onto somebody else’s.

Some fragmented thoughts about Trump's appointments

I may have missed this interpretation of the wilder Trump appointments. I’m guessing a lot of appointment promises were required to grease the various wheels of his campaign machine. Maybe to just get people to stick their necks out a bit further, donate more $, to help take Truth Social public, or to whatever he has planned for his proposed crypto exchange? He promised he’d appoint them, not get them confirmed. If they get confirmed his supremacy is assured, if not, Sorry Matt, sorry Robert. What can I do, the Senate wouldn’t budge? I asked them for recess appointments. It also has the benefit a showing who is falling in line and who to punish. It’s not really fun unless threats and punishments are involved.
It’s really hard to figure out Trump’s intentions, even when I feel like I’m watching a Saturday morning cartoon for cynical grownups.
