invest in education
Wherever you are, I recommend that we use our local precincts and districts to organize each community around schools businesses and nonprofits. Recently a neighborhood got in the news for blocking the demolition of a historic black school where Barbara Jordan graduated and other prominent Black Texas Democrat leaders, including the Founder of Juneteenth.
I encourage all communities to work with local schools to teach the history of leadership and legacy. Too many citizens are taught to blame the poor and demolish these districts instead of supporting the leaders to build them up. Invest in education - financially, politically and legally to end poverty and empower minorities.
