NTOZamboni
NTOZamboni's JournalTwitter banned me from advertising!
(I hope this counts as not-too-much-drama, though I'm feeling quite dramatic about it!)
I tried advertising a satirical anti-Trump book, a collection of 'fractured fairytales,' and Twitter shut down my advertising account. I asked why. They refused to tell me for days. Finally, earlier today, they said: "We've reviewed your [account/tweet] and confirmed that it is ineligible to participate in the Twitter Ads program at this time based on our Hate, Sensitive Topics, and Violence policy. Violating content includes, but is not limited to, that which is offensive, vulgar, or obscene."
This is for a book of updated fairytales ... about Donald Trump. I'm more offensive than Trump? (There is one 'fuck' in the book, and all the other vulgarity are direct Trump quotes!) I don't even know what to think.
Is this too self-promote-y?
In a few fevered weeks after the election, I updated 21 classic children's tales for the Trumpian terror. Mostly as a coping mechanism. Then I decided to sell 'em on Amazon. But first I decided to give them away for a couple of days, to get feedback and spread the word.
I'd love any advice about where I might promote this, once I'm actually charging for it. I posted a few things on Daily Kos, and I'm on Twitter--but that's just shouting into a crowd. Mostly because I'm publishing this anonymously, and can't use any of my 'real life' connections.
The (free, for now!) Kindle book is here: http://amzn.to/2gLGbfs
The cover is this:

I tried to advertise on Twitter, but they rejected my ads and shut down my ad account. I'm thinking of advertising on Facebook, though I don't really know how to use it. Any other suggestions?
Make Fairyland Great Again
Is it okay to post my own work here? I spent the first weeks after the hellection obsessively writing 'fractured fairytales for the age of Trump.' Revising Sleeping Beauty and the Three Little Pigs and all, with more deplorable greed and narcissistic bloat. I put them together into an ebook--free for now!--and I'd love to get any feedback. And the cover, if I'm doing this right, is
