Herschel Walker says he supports critical race theory "100%"

I've been analyzing Herschel Walker and his refusal to debate lately.
I have changed my mind after his last few statements to the media.
I used to think he didn't want people to learn about his positions on the issues because some of them may be unpopular.

But now I have come to realize that this is one of the dumbest candidates that have run for anything in this nation.
I find it likely that he has a cognitive impairment / disability.

I don't think Herschel Walker even knows what critical race theory is at all.
He never elaborates on anything that he is asked about.

It is evident that he has no knowledge about any issues.

He didn't say he supports critical race theory because he cares about racism and slavery. He said it because he has no clue what it is.

Jury finds both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp liable for defamation

Source: CNN

A jury has found both Amber Heard and Johnny Depp liable for defamation in their lawsuits against each other.

Depp sued Heard, his ex-wife, for defamation over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in which she described herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse." Though Depp was not named in the article, he claims it cost him lucrative acting roles. Heard countersued her ex-husband for defamation over statements Depp's attorney made about her abuse claims.
Weighing the claims, a jury found that both of the exes defamed each other.

Turns out they were both liars.

Herschel Walker reacts to Uvalde shooting: "What I like to do is see it and everything and stuff."

This appears to be a joke at first sight, but it's not.
Herschel Walker's strategy is not to say anything about anything. And it's despicable that he says nothing about children being murder due to gun violence.

Asked if he believes there should be new gun laws in the wake of the Texas shooting, Georgia Senate GOP nominee Herschel Walker told me in ATL: “What I like to do is see it and everything and stuff.” He didn’t engage further. pic.twitter.com/wpsAZ7yKP5

EU chief hopes deal for a Russian oil embargo will be reached in the coming days

Source: CNBC

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told CNBC on Tuesday that she’s hoping an agreement to sanction Russian oil will be reached in the coming days.

The 27 EU countries have been stuck over an oil embargo on Russia for several weeks, with countries such as Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic blocking the measure. Any sanctions imposed by the EU need to have the approval of all member states in order to be implemented.

“I hope we are talking about days. So what we are looking at is one or two member states that are landlocked, so cannot have oil via the sea and need alternatives in pipelines and in refineries, and there we are trying to find solutions,” von der Leyen said at the World Economic Forum.

Nobel laureate in Economics: Russian trade surplus is a sign of weakness, not strength

As usual Paul Krugman explains Economics in a simple, easy to understand way: Russia is exporting much more than it's importing, not because they are selling lots of oil, but because they can't import anything, due to sanctions
The article is three days old, but in case you haven't seen it:

So is Vladimir Putin winning the economic war?
No, he’s losing it. That surging surplus is a sign of weakness, not strength — it largely reflects a plunge in Russia’s imports, which even state-backed analysts say is hobbling its economy. Russia is, in effect, making a lot of money selling oil and gas, but finding it hard to use that money to buy the things it needs, reportedly including crucial components used in the production of tanks and other military equipment.

Why is Russia apparently having so much trouble buying stuff? Part of the answer is that many of the world’s democracies have banned sales to Russia of a variety of goods — weapons, of course, but also industrial components that can, directly or indirectly, be used to produce weapons.

New cars no longer required to have airbags in Russia

The sanctions have hit Russia so hard that the government is implementing life-threatening shortcuts such as this once, because things such as airbags cannot be imported:

It would be especially difficult for Russian companies to replace foreign technology products and microchips, Ms Shagina added. Russia’s efforts to copy banned social media platforms have been met with ridicule, while sanctions have sent the car industry back to the 1980s, with new cars no longer legally obliged to have airbags, which cannot now be imported from the west.

Russian inflation is twice as bad as in USA

Wall Street Journal, May 20, 2022:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/russian-inflation-makes-u-s-price-rises-look-tame-11653047287

the prices Russian households pay for the goods and services they consume were 17.8% higher in April than a year earlier, compared with annual inflation rates of 8.3% in the U.S. and 7.4% in the eurozone.

And employees aren't getting any wage increases:
Wages for Russian workers aren’t keeping pace. The result is that real disposable incomes were 1.2% lower in the first three months of 2022 than a year earlier. With the economy set to contract by around 10% this year, pay increases are unlikely to pick up.
Gregory Shevchenko, co-founder of digital marketing agency Shevchenko.bz in Moscow, said that he expects his employees to start asking for higher pay due to inflation, which he is unlikely to be able to accommodate.
“I used to hire and pay salaries based on expected growth,” Mr. Shevchenko said. But clients have decreased their budgets, paused new contracts or shortened deals, he said.

WaPo: As Gov, Doug Mastriano could refuse to certify results if Democrats win the state in 2024

Here are all the things Trump's puppet Doug Mastriano can do to steal the election from Biden, or whoever is the Democratic candidate in 2024 nationally:

He can simply not sign:

One crucial function that the governor performs himself is signing the official certificate of the electoral college votes, and it is not clear what recourse there would be if a governor refuses to do so

He can just decertify voting machines n Democratic-heavy areas:
He vowed to decertify voting machines in counties where he suspects the result was rigged.

He will push to give Republican legislators the ability to pick electors (they would of course pick electors who agree to not vote for the Democrat who won the state):
And he asserted that the Republican-controlled legislature should have the right to take control of the all-important choice over which presidential electors to send to Washington.

In PA, the Governor picks the Secretary of State. There's no election for it:

Those concerns are made especially acute in Pennsylvania by the fact that the governor has the unusual authority to directly appoint the secretary of state, who serves as chief elections officer and must sign off on results. If he or she refuses, chaos could follow.
